NPG B.V. sells Kan aan de Zaan Phase 1A development site in Zaandam to Blauwhoed and Dura Vermeer

NPG B.V. has sold a development site with potential for residential development in Zaandam to a joint venture between Blauwhoed and Dura Vermeer.

Approximately 310 homes will be developed on the site, which forms part of the wider Kan aan de Zaan area development. The project will make an important contribution to addressing the housing shortage in Zaandam and increasing housing supply in a region where demand for homes remains consistently high.

The site is located within close proximity to Zaandam Kogerveld railway station and benefits from excellent connectivity to Amsterdam and the wider Zaan region.

Bas Wilberts, Head of Investment at Savills, comments: “This transaction underlines the appeal of well-located residential development sites within the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. The combination of an advanced urban development plan, constructive collaboration with the municipality and continued strong demand for housing in Zaandam generated broad interest from the market. We are pleased that Blauwhoed and Dura Vermeer have been selected as a strong development partnership to take the site forward.”

NPG B.V. was commercially advised by Savills and received legal counsel from Slangen Advocaten throughout the sales process. The Blauwhoed and Dura Vermeer development consortium was legally advised by Pharos Advocaten. Hartman LMH Notarissen acted as civil-law notary.
